Aug. 24 — Judy L. Kradel, 63, of Center Township was charged with drugged driving stemming from a July crash on the 300 block of West New Castle Street. Police said her vehicle around 11:55 a.m. July 7 struck and pushed a sport utility vehicle, which was parked, into another SUV that was parked.Police eventually took Kradel to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, according to court documents, which showed she had prescription medication in her system. She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.Aug. 24 — Police charged Dayna L. Finucan, 58, of Butler with having drug contraband stemming a traffic stop earlier in the month on East Wayne Street near South McKean Street. She was stopped around 10:40 p.m. Aug. 9 during an investigation into several complaints of alleged drug activity and for a traffic violation.Finucan let police search her purse, according to court documents, which turned up a suspected crack pipe. She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and failing to stop at a red light.

Monday — Jonathan N. Victor, 28, of Butler was charged with having drug contraband stemming from a police call Aug. 20 at a business on New Castle Road. Police said they were called to the Autozone to take possession of a backpack that an employee had found outside the store.The employee notified authorities after opening the backpack to look for any identification about the owner, and finding what appeared to be drug paraphernalia.Police searched the backpack, according to a police report, and found suspected marijuana wax and a dab pipe. Victor is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Monday — Richard M. Mancu, 42, of Butler and a boy, whose name was not released, were both charged with simple assault and harassment stemming from a wrestling match that followed an argument on the 500 block of South Benbrook Road. The boy suffered injures to his face.8:57 p.m. Friday — Police said Ted E. Divers, 35, of Butler damaged $64.88 worth of merchandise while impaired at the Butler Commons' Walmart. He is charged with criminal mischief and public drunkenness.Aug. 26 — Ashley Frederick, 42, of Butler was issued three citations for allegedly shoplifting food items July 10, 16 and 19 at the Butler Commons' Walmart. The items were valued at a combined $59.10, according to a police report. She is charged with three summary counts of retail theft.

Aug. 25 — Jonathan N. Bach, 33, of Rochester, Beaver County, was charged with DUI in connection with a traffic stop earlier in the month in Evans City. Police said they stopped him on a motorcycle around 9:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at Trailer Court Road and Route 68. Additionally, police charged Bach with a license violation and failing to use low beams.2:30 a.m. Aug. 22 — Police said DUI charges are pending against a 49-year-old Herman man, whose name was not released, after an all-terrain vehicle crash on Geibel Road in Summit Township. The man was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries.3:20 a.m. Aug. 22 — A 19-year-old Pittsburgh man was arrested for suspicion of DUI after police were called for a man passed out in the driver's seat of a car at the Grove apartment complex on Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police did not release the suspect's name.12:40 a.m. Aug. 21 — A 25-year-old Mercer man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 8 near Hall Road in Brady Township. Police did not release the man's name.12:21 a.m. Aug. 20 — Dawnetta Mentzer, 54, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI following a traffic stop on the 700 block of West New Castle Street in Butler.

1:57 p.m. Wednesday — No one was injured when a car driven by a 17-year-old Butler boy rear-ended a sport utility vehicle on Route 258 in Liberty Township. The car ended up in a ditch and had to be towed.Police did not release the boy's name. He was cited for following too closely to another vehicle. Stephanie M. Vicari, 42, of Butler was the other driver.Aug. 25 — Christopher A. Geibel, 32, of Grove City was charged with taking a wallet belonging to his 61-year-old father from his father's home in Wolf Creek Township, and using a credit card earlier in the month. The incident occurred Aug. 10.Geibel is charged with misdemeanor counts of access device fraud and theft.
