Mortgage relief program available
Butler County homeowners who have been financially impacted by the economic slowdown related to the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for mortgage relief through Community Partnership Inc., which is partnering with the Center for Community Resources to offer the CARES Mortgage Relief program.
Homeowners who became unemployed after March 1 or who experienced a reduction in annual income due to reduced work hours and wages related to COVID-19 may be eligible for financial assistance to help with missed mortgage payments.
To qualify for the program, the homeowner must be the owner-occupier of the home, and the homeowner’s annual household income can’t exceed 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, adjusted for the number of people in the home.
Financial assistance payments through the program will be made directly to the lender. Homeowners must provide the documents needed to determine their eligibility. Interested homeowners should contact the Center for Community Resources’ information and referral line at 844-360-4372.
