During Matt Kraft's first year on Seneca Valley's boys tennis team in 2019, the sophomore found the environment to be very inclusive.
It's just in his nature to return the favor.
Last spring, the team's roster included 16 players. According to longtime SV coach Eric Grove, it was “the biggest team we've ever had.
“Matt did a great job of recruiting players to the team, teaching them and making them feel welcome. He's a leader and the glue that holds everybody together.”
Even though the spring season was shut down shortly after it began, Grove was still impressed with Kraft's attitude and effort and nominated him for the Positive Athlete of Western PA award.
