COVID-19 Update 8/19: Butler County adds 3 confirmed cases, state announces online mental health tool

Butler County added three confirmed cases of COVID-19 to its total Wednesday.

Since the pandemic began, the county has had 673 residents test positive for COVID-19, according to Wednesday's report by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The county's death toll remained at 17.

Throughout the pandemic, state officials have also called for residents to pay more attention to their mental health as they stay indoors and socially distanced.

On Wednesday, Gov. Tom Wolf announced an online tool to help people gauge their mental health, called the Mental Health Resources Guide.

“Especially with the stressors of the pandemic, it's imperative that we also remember it's OK to not be OK, and our mental health must be considered just as much as our physical health,” Wolf said.
