Robert W. Edwards Jr.
Robert W. Edwards Jr., 84, of Middlesex Township, passed away July 16, 2020.
Born Aug. 10, 1935, in Gibsonia, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Anna Mae McCauley Edwards Sr.
Robert worked for more than 40 years at Wagner's Market in Bakerstown.
He was a lifetime member of Bakerstown Beagle Club, played pitcher for the St. Barnabas baseball team, enjoyed training and flying homing pigeons and had won first place in several competitions, enjoyed talking to people all over the world on his CB radio, loved being at the center of large family picnics at his home, and looked forward to fishing trips to Canada with his sons and grandsons.
He was the beloved husband for 63 years of Shirley M. Dengler Edwards, and the loving father of Timothy (Patty) Edwards, Susan (Terry) Ehrenfried, Jim (Roxanne) Edwards, Scott (Jenny) Edwards, and the late Deborah Ann Edwards.
He was the brother of the late Marjorie June Hardt, and the proud grandfather of Sean (Shannon) Edwards, Jason (Chelsea) Edwards, Lauren Gillen, Brandy Gillen, Parker Edwards, Leann Deans, and Emily (Ben) Crouch.
He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, Madison, Grace, Jackson, Sydnee, Lana, Madox, Benson, Sylas, Bryce and Kevin.
EDWARDS — Friends of Robert W. Edwards Jr., who died Thursday, July 16, 2020, are welcome from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Dorseyville.Pennsylvania Department of Health and CDC guidelines will be followed.Please offer condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.
