District conducts concussion testing
MARS — The Mars Area School District is continuing ImPACT computer-based concussion testing for student-athletes participating in fall sports through Thursday at Mars Area High School.
All student-athletes entering grades seven, nine and 11 are required to submit to testing as well as any student who has not received a baseline test in the past.
The remaining schedule is:
Tuesday: Seventh/eighth grade boys soccer, noon; and seventh/eighth grade girls soccer, 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday: Seventh/eighth grade football, 8:15 a.m.; seventh/eighth grade coed cross country, 10:15 a.m.; and seventh/eighth grade girls soccer, noon.
Thursday, Seventh/eighth grade football, 10:30 a.m.; seventh/eighth grade coed cross country, noon; seventh/eighth grade boys soccer, 1:30 p.m.; and make-up testing, 2:45 p.m.
Student-athletes will be required to wear a face covering (mask or shield) and to practice social distancing at all times.
Testing will be administered and supervised by the district’s athletic trainers.
