A woman was hospitalized following a crash Monday on New Castle Road.

Butler Township Police responded around noon to the scene of the crash, near 177 New Castle Road, about one-tenth of a mile east of the intersection between New Castle Road and Evans City Road.

According to police, they found a two-vehicle accident involving a Subaru Outback and a Chevy Equinox.

Police said the Subaru was heading west and the Chevy was driving east when the collision occurred.

The driver of the Chevy SUV was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with a suspected head injury.

Butler Township Police are investigating the crash.
