Transit authority awards tech, office supply contracts
The Butler Transit Authority on Tuesday awarded contracts for internet technology services and rugs, mats and other office supplies.
Authority board members unanimously voted to award a three-year IT contract to Maher Duessel. The contract calls for the authority to pay a $500 annual software license fee and $120 an hour for service when needed. The contract runs from July 1 through June 30, 2023.
Solicitor Rebecca Black said Maher Duessel was the only company to submit a proposal for the contract.
The board also approved a five-year contract with Cintas to provide rugs, mats, shop towels, paper towels, soap, air freshener and other supplies for the authority’s office and maintenance facility in the Pullman Center Business Park and the bus terminal on West New Castle Street. The contract costs $236 a month or $2,832 a year and runs from July 1 to June 30, 2025.
