After receiving numerous requests from Butler County citizens wanting to help pay for its lawsuit against Gov. Tom Wolf and health secretary Dr. Rachel Levine, Butler County Controller Benjamin Holland announced Monday the county established a "Legal Fund" for individuals wanting to donate.

Holland wrote in a press release that county officials received several inquiries from individuals wanting to contribute “toward the legal costs incurred by the county in its civil action seeking declaratory judgment against Governor Wolf and Secretary Levine's business shut down orders."

The lawsuit also seeks injunctive relief from what the plaintiffs consider the state's "arbitrary and capricious waiver system."
