Pgh. food bank receives donation
A contribution from Pennsylvania American Water will buy 125,000 meals for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
According to the water company, it donated $25,000 as part of a pledge for $100,000 in COVID-19 relief throughout Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania utility’s parent company, American Water, donated $100,000 to Feeding America, a network of food banks throughout the country.
The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank serves eight counties, including Butler County.
