Extension confabs are put on hold
Penn State Extension continues providing information and advice to farmers, horticulturalists and small business owners, but has extended cancellations and postponements of workshops, conferences and meetings through May 15. Registered event participants will be notified of cancellations and will receive refunds of registration fees.
However, educators will continue on-farm visits and research, while following disease-control guidelines to minimize risk. Producer consultations and collaborative research projects support “essential agricultural businesses,” including farms, food processors, grocers and other operations critical in maintaining food supply and considered life-sustaining.
