Ronald R. “Whitey” Buzza Sr.

Ronald R. “Whitey” Buzza Sr., 80, of Renfrew, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020.

Born Jan. 16, 1940, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late William Buzza and Elsie Haftl Martin.

Whitey was a veteran U.S. Army.

He enjoyed traveling, Sudoku puzzles and the music of Elvis. Whitey and his wife, Emily, loved going out to eat at their favorite restaurants. He enjoyed the camaraderie of the Brandywine community and attending the functions at the clubhouse.

Whitey especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Whitey leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years, Emily S. Hanna Buzza, whom he married Feb. 18, 1961; his children, Ronald R. Buzza Jr. and his wife, Judy, and Natalie Slagle and her companion, Chuck Brynda, all of Butler; his seven grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren; his brother, William Buzza and his wife, Evelyn, of Crown, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Whitey was preceded in death by his stepfather, Walter “Bud” Martin; his sister, Joan Barnett; and his great-grandson, Oliver.

BUZZA — Friends of Ronald R. “Whitey” Buzza Sr., who died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev.
