Gov. Tom Wolf ordered the closure of “non-life-sustaining businesses” beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday with enforcement to begin at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.

All businesses that are not considered life-sustaining must close their physical locations beginning at 8 p.m., though workers may continue to work from home.

According to a list published by the Governor’s Office, life-sustaining businesses include most agricultural, manufacturing, transportation and utility work. Grocery stores, hardware stores and gas stations may continue operation.

The governor has directed numerous state and local agencies to enforce the closure orders. Businesses that fail to comply with the order will forfeit their ability to receive disaster relief and may face other administrative action.
