In loving memory of Lou Duke who would be 73 today, February 3, 2020.

Your birthday’s here today, dear Lou,

And we just wanted you to know

How much we deeply love you

And that we miss you so.

On days like this we should celebrate,

But for us that now proves hard,

For unlike other family members,

We cannot even send a simple birthday card.

No kisses can we give you

Or birthday gifts to buy.

Only memories can we share of you,

Which in our hearts do lie.

Two other things we send you

Are our thoughts and all our love,

So hold them close and keep them safe
