Patricia Ann “Patty” Demerecz
Patricia Ann “Patty” Demerecz, 81, of Connoquenessing Township passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot.
Born Oct. 27, 1938, in Glassport, she was the daughter of the late William James Staley and Mary Elizabeth Winwood Staley.
Patty was a member of Park United Presbyterian Church in Zelienople.
She loved singing and dancing and was a member of the Tri-County Country Music Association. Patty frequented DJ Jazzy Jim's dances held at the Mars VFW. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed making and decorating cakes for weddings and birthdays for over 60 years.
Patty will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Patty leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Kathleen Gianneschi and her husband, Richard, Linda Isacco and her husband, Ken, Patrick Demerecz and Jonathan Paul Demerecz; her grandchildren, Jeremy Isacco and his wife, Melissa, Justin Isacco and his wife, Melissa, and Michael Gianneschi; her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Emily and Jacob Isacco; her siblings, William Staley and his wife, Rose, John Staley and his wife, Ruth, Andy Staley and his wife, Theresa, Edward Staley, Grace Powell and her husband, Bud, Edna Wilson, Rose Lynn and her husband, James, and Mary Zihnter; her sister-in-law, Betty Staley; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Paul Demerecz, who passed away on Jan. 11, 1991; her great-grandson, Giovanni Isacco; her siblings, Grace Powell, Edna Wilson and Robert Staley; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Wilson, Herman Zihnter and Bill Dickey.
DEMERECZ — Friends of Patricia Ann “Patty” Demerecz, who died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Park United Presbyterian Church, 115 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with Pastor Reid Moon officiating.Patty will be laid to rest at St. Gregory Cemetery in Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Park United Presbyterian Church.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
