An accident involving a sport utility vehicle Thursday afternoon on Interstate 79 sent four people to a hospital.

All four people in a sport utility vehicle traveling north on Interstate 79 on Thursday were injured when the vehicle rolled over onto the median.

State police said all four occupants in the one-vehicle accident were taken to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

The accident took place in Slippery Rock Township at 1:30 p.m. Responding were the Slippery Rock, Portersville and Harrisville volunteer fire departments.
