A Lyndora man is being held in lieu of $30,000 bond following an alleged aggravated assault and burglary Sunday night at a New Castle Street apartment.

Russell Lee Little, 55, was arrested late Sunday following a search that lasted about three hours. City police responded around 8:15 p.m. for reports of an assault at 715 New Castle St. in Butler.

According to court documents, officers found a badly beaten 46-year-old woman “whose face was covered in blood, extremely swollen, and whose mouth was full of blood.”
