Adams Twp. 2020 budget approved with no changes
ADAMS TWP — The township unanimously approved the 2020 budget in a morning meeting Monday. There were no changes from the preliminary budget.
Supervisors met at 8 a.m. to review and approve a budget that anticipates general fund revenues of $6,779,200 and expenses of $7,795,100.
The budget identifies $1,015,900 of the general fund's total expenses as interfund transfers. It also documents an additional $1,944,827 in available assets, bringing available income to $8,724,027.
An estimated $957,740 is available in the Liquid Fuels Fund. The township expects $400,000 in Public Works Liquid Fuels expenses.
The 2020 Park Fund is budgeted at $750,150, with revenues of $837,225. Of the $750,150 in expenses, $517,000 is slated for capital expenses. An additional $15,000 in assets are also budgeted.
Recreational fees are expected to bring the township $50,000 in revenue, with interfund transfers totaling $42,400 in expenses.
The Capital Reserve budgets $11,955,627 in available income and assets. Land acquisition and other costs are totaled at $452,000.
Of that number, $400,000 has been budgeted toward the purchase of the Wygal family property for the purposes of turning it into a township park.
There are no tax increases in the 2020 budget.
The township's tax rate will officially be set at the reorganization meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
