Gift wrapping raises $6.4K for MS
A gift-wrapping station at the Clearview Mall raised about $6,400 for the National MS Society this year.
A group of volunteers gathered in the mall ahead of Christmas to wrap shoppers' presents. Gary and Terry Evitt, two of the team's organizers, said their group is predominantly associated with an annual charity bike ride known as Bike MS: Escape to the Lake, but that some other individuals joined the effort.
They've wrapped gifts for the national group every year for about five years, and considered this year's effort to be strong.
