Behind the gates of Heaven,

There is someone special there.

A kind and loving person,

Who always seemed to care.

We know God had a reason,

Why He would let you stay,

But life is lonely without you,

Since you were called away.

When our family gets together,

There is one we do not see.

It fills our hearts with sadness,

Thinking of how it used to be.

The tears in our eyes we can wipe away,

But the ache in our hearts is here to stay.

Life goes on, we know that is true,

But it’s not the same since losing you.
