BUTLER TWP — A pedestrian was flown to an area hospital with injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Moraine Pointe Plaza near the Harbor Freight Tools in the township Friday afternoon.

The county emergency center said that two pedestrians were reportedly struck, but one was flown after the incident at 2 p.m. A landing zone for a medical helicopter was set up at the Regal Cinemas to transport the injured person.

Butler Township police and several fire departments responded along with Butler Ambulance Service.

Township police are investigating. No other information was available at press time.
