The wreck occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Route 8, just north of Mahood Road. The three vehicles carried four people, according to Unionville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Nathan Wulff.

Wulff described the injuries as “moderate.” The baby was among the three transported in ambulances, but it was not clear if the child suffered any injuries. The driver in the vehicle with the infant needed to be taken to the hospital, so the infant went along, officials said.

State police and Butler Ambulance Service also responded.Details on the nature of the accident and the identity of the drivers were not available at the scene.Debris on the road from the wreck, as well as the vehicles, made for a traffic hazard at the scene that delayed traffic in the area Friday afternoon.
