Wreaths Across America

Members of West Sunbury Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, volunteers and veterans were laying wreaths at a number of sites around Butler as part of a National Wreaths Across America Day.

One of the organizers, Chuck Veazey, said, “It was fantastic. We expected 75 to 100 people. We had 166.” He said Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Daughters of American Revolution members and individuals showed up despite the cold and rainy weather to place 1,100 wreaths on the graves of veterans.
