Barry Gale Wise, 69, of Conover, N.C., formerly of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, at his home.

He was born June 16, 1950, in Butler County, and was a son of the late Charles Raymond and Barbara Jean Ross Wise.

He was employed at Ravenswood News and JCDC.

Barry enjoyed music, reading, bowling and softball.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Barry is survived by his two sons, Timothy Alan (Jody) Wise of Ravenswood, W.Va., and Robert Lee (Jennifer) Wise of Conover, N.C.; his brothers, James Gary (Marietta) Wise of Millwood, W.Va., and Randall Dean (Joann) Wise of Gilbertsville, Pa.; his sisters, Cathy Cheryl (Buddy) Deem of Big Springs, W.Va., and Darla Jean Mahone of Ravenswood W.Va.; his grandchildren, Jessica Jeanine Wise of Cain Ridge, Mason County, W.Va., Cody Alan Wise of Ravenswood, W.Va., Damian Hunter Wise, Zachary Wise and Michael Fisk of Conover, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Demi Crow and Jace Painter of Cain Ridge, Mason County, W.Va.; and his aunts and uncles, Maxine Becker of Grand Prairie, Texas, Tom and Bonnie Ross of Bear, Del., Bonnie Travaglio, Joe Buccini, Sandy Buccini, Sharon Hames of Butler, Vickie Olcus of Armstrong County, and Ralph DeBacco of East Brady.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Lynn Wise; his brother, Dale Thomas Wise; and a son, Barry Lee Wise.
