VALENCIA — The Lighthouse Foundation, has named Victoria Spreng as its new executive director.

On Sunday, Spreng officially took over the Christian outreach organization, which serves impoverished people and families in Northern Allegheny and Butler counties.

Cindy Cipoletti voluntarily stepped down from the position at the end of October.

The organization's board of directors conducted an extensive search leading to Spreng.

An internal candidate, Spreng started with the foundation in 2010. Before Cipoletti left, Spreng was an associate director for the organization and served as interim director throughout the selection process.
