Court rejects appeal of man's conviction in slaying of sisters

PITTSBURGH — A Pennsylvania Superior Court panel has rejected the appeal of Allen Wade, 49, who was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder in the February 2014 deaths of his neighbors, sisters Sarah and Susan Wolfe, found shot in their East Liberty home.

The panel rejected his appeal arguments, including his assertion that a judge should not have allowed prosecutors to use as evidence a black knit hat containing the defendant’s DNA that was found in the victims’ home five weeks before their deaths, according to a Pittsburgh newspaper.
