Netflix shoot to restrict I-79 traffic
JACKSON TWP — Netflix will be shooting a movie on Interstate 79 north in the township Monday afternoon, causing temporary lane closures.
Film crews will arrive in the township Monday to shoot footage for upcoming film “Sweet Girl,” a Netflix movie starring Jason Momoa, who is also producing the film.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation approved the streaming network's permit Friday, according to spokeswoman Jamie Arehart, readying temporary closures that should be completely gone from the roadway by 4 p.m.
Rolling roadblocks will be in place from 1 p.m. to about 3:30 p.m. Monday. Such roadblocks are moving lane closures that slow or stop traffic.
The road blocks will be on the northbound side of I-79, starting at Exit 88 and continuing for about two miles to mile marker 90.4. Exit 88 is by Little Creek Road.
Some sections of the southbound side of the road in roughly the same area might also see minor delays.
The film crew is shooting vehicles driving on the section of interstate, according to a PennDOT news release.
