As Pennsylvania Department of Transportation works to widen portions of Route 422, motorists traveling between Rupp Church Road and Colonial Road should expect delays starting Thursday.

The delays will be the result of lane restrictions east of Kittanning in Armstrong County.

PennDOT said in a news release that the road will be restricted daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Nov. 20, weather permitting, while crews work to widen the roadway, install improved drainage and guardrails, and pave.
