Students at Connoquenessing Elementary came to school Thursday ready for trick-or-treating. The school was among the six Butler Area School District elementary schools that held Halloween-themed events. Costumed students paraded through the school parking lot Thursday in celebration of Halloween.

At Connoquenessing Elementary School, students in costumes paraded through the school's parking lot as parents and teachers watched. It's an annual tradition at the school, according to principal Hope Hull. They managed to parade during a brief lapse in rain in the early afternoon.

Summit Township Elementary and McQuistion Elementary also held parades. Emily Brittain Elementary and Center Township Elementary both held classroom Halloween parties.
