Rig rolls over on bridge
PARKER — A semitruck and trailer rolled onto its side Wednesday afternoon on the Parker Bridge.
The truck blocked traffic onto the bridge, which is also part of Route 268.
Marcus Slaugenhoup, assistant chief of the Parker City Volunteer Fire Department, said the driver left a nearby facility and caught the barrier as he turned onto the bridge.
Slaugenhoup said neither the driver nor a passenger in the semitruck were injured, and a truck service was called to lift it.
“They will probably use airbags to lift the truck back up,” he said.
Slaugenhoup estimated the truck could be removed by 7 p.m. or 8 p.m.
State Police were on the scene and investigating.
In addition to Parker VFD, firefighters from Emlenton and Perry Township in Clarion County assisted.
