Fracking contractor drops container
A truck driver accidentally dumped the container he was hauling Monday afternoon at the intersection of Victory and Dinnerbell road near Saxonburg.
JEFFERSON TWP — A truck driver contracted by PennEnergy was moving an empty freshwater tank from a well site on Monday when a pin broke and caused the tank to “lay down” on Dinnerbell Road, according to PennEnergy spokeswoman Amy Gonzalez.
The accident, which occurred when the driver turned onto Dinnerbell from Victory Road, damaged the large tank and left a long gouge in the road surface.
State police responded to the scene, where there were no injuries.
It is not known if the driver faces any citations for the accident.
