Adagio Health offers free services to women

Along with heath services for teens and adults, Adagio Health offers early screening and detection programs for breast cancer.

According to the Adagio website, the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program exists in 29 counties in Western and Central Pennsylvania. In Butler County, the offices are at 323 Sunset Dr.

The program provides free screening and diagnostic testing to underinsured and uninsured women who are 21 or older. Patient eligibility is based on income and household size.

The program is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. It is administered by the Alliance of PA Councils.

Adagio also offers the Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention and Treatment program for uninsured women diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer. It covers treatment and other medical needs.

Eligible women must be Pennsylvania residents, U.S. citizens and younger than 65 years old. Income is not an eligibility requirement.

Adagio Health manages the Komen-funded Mammogram Voucher Program, which provides mammograms and diagnostic breast services for uninsured and underinsured men and women in 53 counties.

The mammogram program has no income, gender or age requirements. Vouchers provide screening, diagnostic, individualize and educational services.
