Heritage Festival

Harrisville teen Trey Simmon and Bill Rider, of Boyers, re-enact gun maneuvers as part of the 10th Pennsylvania Reserve Volunteers during the 27th Annual Heritage Festival at McConnells Mill State Park in Portersville on Sunday. Based out of the Mercer County Historical Society, the Civil War re-enactors were part of an infantry unit. The group was one of several participating in the two-day event, which was sponsored by the Portersville-Prospect Rotary Club celebrating the operational time period of the historical gristmill from 1852 to 1928.
