BUTLER TWP — Nearly 500 marijuana vapes were among the drugs that county narcotics officers allegedly turned up at a township home earlier this month.
But that was nothing compared to the hard cash they allegedly found.
“Most of it was stashed in a cardboard box,” said county Detective Tim Fennell, who heads the Butler County Drug Task Force. “Some if it was in a safe. Some was under a mattress. Some was scattered in drawers. It was all over the place.”
When it was eventually counted, it allegedly added up to $87,712.
The home's residents — Nicanor Andrada, 41; his wife, Yolanda C. Andrada, 40; and her son, Gavin J. Hunter, 22 — were arraigned Thursday on felony drug charges.
The charges followed a Sept. 13 task force-led warrant search of their house on East Muntz Avenue.
