Jason D. Taylor
Jason D. “Jake” Taylor, 53, of Perry Township, Ellwood City, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday in Gettysburg.
Born Dec. 31, 1965, in Butler, he was the son of the late Dallas and Geneva (Morgan) Taylor.
He was married to Vicki Sturm Taylor, who died Jan. 17, 2017. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Taylor.
Jake graduated from Knoch High School.
He was a long distance truck driver for Barnhart Transportation Co. which is based in North East, Pa. Jake was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His most cherished time was spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Michelle (Christian) Lample of Franklin Township, Paige Taylor and her fiancé, Shelby Cook, of Fombell, and Halie Taylor of Mars; one son, David (Lauren) Bosley of Portersville; two sisters, Susie (Kenny) Blatt and Denise (Keith) Hobaugh, both of Butler; two brothers, Jerry (Traci) Taylor of Renfrew, and Jim (Charlene) Taylor of Butler; and four grandchildren.
TAYLOR — Visiting hours for Jason D. “Jake” Taylor, who died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. Saturday at Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City. Pastor Phil Conklin will officiate. Casual dress is encouraged.
Final interment will take place in Rockdale Cemetery.
