Donna R. Kriess Hobaugh, 87, of Butler passed away Thursday at Newhaven Court at Clearview.

She was born Feb. 15, 1932, in Butler, to the late George Kriess and the late Florence Phillips.

Donna worked at Western Southern Beltone Hearing Aid and RotoBlast as a secretary, retiring after 10 years.

Donna was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and as an elder, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday school.

Donna was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She chaperoned record hops at Oakland Township PTA and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.

Donna enjoyed camping and was a dedicated to her family.

Donna is survived by her two sons, Keith (Denise) Hobaugh of Karns City and Dale (Beverly) Hobaugh of Butler; five grandchildren, Michelle Froilan, Adam Hobaugh, Amber Warba, Stacey Dunbar and Aaron Hobaugh; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hobaugh, whom she married June 8, 1951, and who died April 17, 2001; one son, Richard Hobaugh; four sisters, Grace Gould, Mary Going, Esther Kriess, and Betty Simons; and two brothers, Fred Kriess and Ken Kriess.

HOBAUGH — Friends of Donna R. Kriess Hobaugh, who died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon Monday at Thompson — Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with retired Presbyterian minister Bob Mathias officiating.

Private burial will take place in Bear Creek Cemetery.
