PennDOT will repaint traffic lines on Route 228 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday into Friday from the Beaver Street Extension to Mars-Valencia Road.

PennDOT announced that crews will eradicate existing paint lines and place temporary markings for new lanes on Route 228 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday into Friday from the Beaver Street Extension to Mars-Valencia Road.

Varying traffic patterns will occur in both the eastbound and westbound lanes, according to a news release from PennDOT.

The new lanes were added at the intersection of Warrendale Road and Pittsburgh Street as part of an $8 million Route 228 expansion project at that intersection.
