Teens charged in alleged attack
ALLEGHENY TWP — Two teenagers are accused of attacking two employees at a juvenile detention facility in northern Butler County.
Both alleged victims — a 22-year-old Fenelton man and a 33-year-old Hilliards man — suffered minor injuries in the weekend incident at Western PA Child Care on Route 38 in Allegheny Township, state police said.
Authorities did not release the names of the employees or the suspects, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both of whom are detainees at the facility. The altercation occurred around 6 p.m. Sunday.
Police said both youths face felony assault and other charges. A police report provided no other information.
Mid-Atlantic Youth Services owns the secured facility, which houses males and females, ages 16 to 21, who have been placed there following court disposition of their juvenile cases.
A telephone call to the facility Tuesday was referred to Tim McCulley, human resources manager. McCulley was not immediately available.
