MIDDLESEX TWP — A township woman faces a hearing next week on charges that she chased her son around their house with a gun and threatened to shoot him during a domestic dispute Thursday. No injuries were reported.

Grace L. Lambert was arrested on felony assault and other charges. She is free on $5,000 unsecured bail.

Middlesex Township police said they were called to Lambert's home on Truver Road around 8:30 p.m. Thursday for an argument that turned physical.

Police noted that it was their second call to the house within 24 hours for an incident involving the mother and son.

Lambert is accused of hitting the 24-year-old victim in the chest and brandishing a Ruger .380-caliber pistol, according to charging documents, which she pointed “muzzle first” at him. The gun belongs to the son, police said.

While chasing the victim around the house with the gun, documents said, she told him, “I will shoot you, I swear to God.”

District Judge Wayne Seibel arraigned Lambert on a felony charge of aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment and harassment. Seibel, in releasing the defendant, ordered that she have no contact with the victim.

Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 14 at the office of District Judge Sue Haggerty in Saxonburg. Online records did not list an attorney for Lambert, and she could not be reached for comment.
