The eighth annual Riding for a Cure raised more than $50,000 this past weekend for patients battling cancer, according to the organization’s Facebook page.

The annual motorcycle run attracted hundreds of bikers, who took to Butler County streets Saturday for the eighth annual cancer awareness ride.

Money raised from the event supports local organizations helping local cancer patients pay for everything from screenings, treatment and medicine to transportation, wigs and education.

The daylong event ended with a public pig roast.
