Route 68 is closed Tuesday evening after a vehicle ran into a pole near Butler First Church of the Nazarene, according to Butler Township police.

BUTLER TWP — Route 68 is closed after a vehicle accident near Butler First Church of the Nazarene, according to Butler Township police.

Around 5:04 p.m. Tuesday, police said a woman crashed a car into a pole at the intersection of Route 68 and Oakdale Road, next to the church. The woman suffered minor injuries.

Power wires are down across Route 68 and police said the road will be closed from Oakdale Road to Eberhart Road until West Penn Power can arrive at the scene.
