Emergency crews responding to a house fire on Kerr Avenue in the borough Thursday afternoon.

EMLENTON, VENANGO COUNTY — Emergency crews are responding to a house fire on Kerr Avenue in the borough Thursday afternoon.

The house, located at 905 Kerr Ave., is unoccupied, according to neighboring homeowner and borough ordinance officer Kelly Morrison.

Fire companies and departments from four counties were called to the scene.

Emlenton Fire Chief, Trevor Hile, said the cause of the fire is unknown and the state police fire marshall has been called to investigate.
