Pa. marks anniversary of womens' right to vote
State officials are inviting the public to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Pennsylvania General Assembly’s vote to ratify the 19th Amendment, which eventually gave women the right to vote.
Officials will hold an event Monday at the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. inviting the public to “ratify” the amendment by signing a copy and having a commemorative photo taken.
The original ratification document and other historical documents will be on display.
