Slippery Rock landlord unhappy with council
SLIPPERY ROCK — Bonnie Davis, owner of Monteleone Apartments, said Tuesday she will sell her rentals after 22 years in the borough, citing lack of clear communication and what she called targeted code enforcement.
Davis addressed borough council during public comments, telling them she was frustrated with the council's communication regarding what had been characterized as the hiring of a full-time code enforcement officer. But rather than hiring someone full-time, council appointed a college intern instead.
Davis said it may be too late to keep her business in town. She said she worked hard to keep her properties clean, and she needs a code enforcement officer working with her, not against her.
