Jerilyn Cordes
Jerilyn Cordes, 74, of Butler, passed away on Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Born May 17, 1944, in Livingston, Calif., she was the daughter of Orville Cordes and Jeanette Roley Cordes.
Jerilyn had worked as a director of Christian education.
She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot.
She played the organ for every church in which she worshipped, also she directed youth and adult choirs and was very active in card ministries. She baked and decorated cakes, they were both beautiful and delicious. She ensured that her children and grandchildren were baptized into the Christian faith.
Surviving are her children, Allison (Bob) Fischer of Butler, Vanessa (Glen) Hoogerhyde of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Nathan Palmer of Tracy, Calif.; six grandchildren, Joseph Rippin, Westley Rippin, Brandon Rippin, Robert Fischer, Anna Palmer and Elle Palmer; and three great-grandchildren Jaxton Rippin, Jazlynn Rippin and Aurora Rippin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Kevin W. Palmer who passed away in 1968.
CORDES — Friends of Jerilyn Cordes, who died Thursday, March 28, 2019, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Church in Cabot with the Rev.
