2 held in Mercer County Jail in kidnapping case

Two Liberty Township residents have been charged with multiple offenses revolving around an alleged kidnapping.

Jory Dean Loughman, 21, and Ariel Star Arblaster, 19, both of Liberty Township, allegedly kidnapped two teenage boys at gunpoint around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a Pennsylvania state police report.

Investigators revealed that at least one of the victims was pistol whipped, before both 15-year-old and 18-year-old victims, were bound, blindfolded and held at gunpoint inside a vehicle, according to the report.

Multiple shots were reportedly fired from inside the vehicle.

The report said the alleged kidnappers exited the vehicle, and the victims managed to escape by taking over the vehicle during that time.

State police executed a search warrant at a home connected with the alleged kidnappers and seized multiple items before arresting Loughman and Arblaster.

The pair are being held in the Mercer County Jail and are awaiting preliminary arraignments.
