Mabel G. Hackbarth

Mabel G. Hackbarth, 99, of Chicora died at home on Monday after an illness.

She was born Oct. 15, 1919, in Harmarville, Allegheny County, and was the daughter of the late William E. Kiser and the late Cora L. Robb Kiser.

She worked a short time at Bantam Jeep Co., then at Moonlight Mushroom Mine in Worthington, where she retired.

She married Ralph Burns, who died in 1963. She then married Richard D. Hackbarth on April 17, 1965, and he died on May 27, 1995.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joanne (Ronald) Keith of Fenelton, Mrs. Ruth (Kenneth) Claypoole of Chicora; a son, James Burns of Fenelton; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great- grandchildren; and a sister, Bernice Pistorius of Slippery Rock.

Mabel was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Burns; three brothers; and three sisters.

HACKBARTH — There will be no public visitation for Mabel G. Hackbarth, who died Monday, March 18, 2019.Funeral service and interment will be private.Arrangements are entrusted to Steighner Funeral Home, 111 E.
