The newly resurfaced softball field at Father Marinaro Park on Kaufman Drive will be used in public events later this month.

From 9 a.m. to noon April 27, various softball and baseball companies will be at the park to let players test out the latest and greatest equipment. Then, starting at 1 p.m. the same day, a home run derby is planned.

Starting at 8 a.m. April 28, six teams will participate in an all-day softball tournament. Spectators are welcome.
