An alleged marijuana dealer was arrested after state narcotics agents conducted a warrant search Wednesday at his home on Brown Avenue.

Darrion E. Frisby, 24, is free on his own recognizance, while awaiting a hearing next month on drug trafficking charges.

The Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics had been investigating the illegal sale of marijuana in Butler earlier this month when they identified Frisby as a “marijuana trafficker,” authorities said.

Agents subsequently used a police informant to make a controlled drug buy that targeted the defendant.

The alleged deal April 4 was set up using the Snapchat application, according to charging documents.

An undercover officer drove the informant to Frisby's home, where the defendant appeared at the vehicle and allegedly delivered a plastic bag of suspected marijuana.

Investigators later obtained a search warrant that was executed Wednesday at his home. Frisby was there and he allegedly admitted he had marijuana in the house.

Agents combed the home and found a five-gallon size plastic bag containing 360 grams, or 12.7 ounces, of suspected marijuana, documents said. They also found a digital scale.

District Judge William Fullerton arraigned Frisby on felony charges of delivery and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled May 6.
