Henry O. Ziegler

Henry O. Ziegler, 82, of Zelienople, passed away Saturday at Allegheny General Hospital after a brief illness.

Born Sept. 20, 1936, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Henry O. and Ina A. Lutz Ziegler.

He was of the Protestant faith.

Henry started his career delivering newspapers and later owning the Newstand in Zelienople. During this time he attended Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and became a funeral director. He became a fifth generation funeral director helping his father in the Ziegler Funeral Home. He later closed the family funeral home and devoted his time to the Newstand.

He was a member of Butler County Funeral Directors Association and was a former member of the Zelienople Business Association.

Henry enjoyed attending the Zelienople council meetings.

Henry is survived by two brothers, James (Joyce) Ziegler of Prospect and John (Patricia) Ziegler of Middle Lancaster; seven nieces and nephews, Jim, Jeff and Joe Ziegler, Janet Kniess, Dawnita Sauer, Melanie Newlon and Michelle Scarrow; seven grand nieces and nephews; and eight great-grand nieces and nephews.

ZIEGLER — The family of Henry O. Ziegler, who died Saturday, March 9, 2019, will receive friends and relatives from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W.
